3.   Why I collect your data

I collect names/emails/phone numbers through the website contact form to reply to enquiries and these are added to the Balanced Harmony mailing list.

 
I collect client's personal information and sensitive "special category" data (health history, session notes) to provide safe and effective hypnotherapy. As a student, I may also use anonymised case studies for my training and supervision.

4.       Lawful Basis

Contract: To fulfill our agreement for therapy.

Explicit Consent: Specifically for processing your health-related information.

Legal Obligation: To meet insurance and professional record-keeping requirements.

5.       How I store your data

Data is stored securely in locked physical storage and/or encrypted, password-protected digital systems. Only the practitioner has access..  I will not share your identifiable data with third parties unless required by law or to prevent serious harm.

6.       Retention Period

I am required to keep client records for 8 years after our final session (or until age 25/26 for minors) in line with professional standards.

7.       Your Rights

You have the right to see the data I hold about you, request corrections, or ask for your data to be deleted (subject to legal retention requirements). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk
